Nesting Crocheted Recycled Plastic Bag Baskets Set of 3

Product Description

This set of three nesting baskets is made from old shopping bags. The small one measures approximately 5 inches by 2 inches tall, the medium is approximately 6.5 inches by 2.25 inches tall, and the larger one measures approximately 7.5 inches by 2 inches tall.

In total they took more than 15 full sized plastic shopping bags to complete. It took around 10 hours to complete the three baskets including preparing the bags, and crocheting the baskets.

The baskets can be used for holding change, jewelry, wrapped candies, small craft items, small soaps, etc., or simply displayed as is. The colors are white with specks of red and black, with just a hint of blue in spots. They can be washed in cold water and allowed to air dry.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I was challenged by a friend to make something "besides a tote bag" with all the plarn I had been making. These baskets were my first attempt. I think they turned out pretty good.
