This necklace is made of lovely, smooth, puffy coins of Picture Jasper. The patterns and colours of this stone are beautiful - you can see where it got its name - look closely and you'll be gazing out across the desert dunes.

This is one of a series of necklaces that I made over the winter break - all designed to show off the natural beauty of the stone beads I used, high-lighted with one asymetrically placed silver or vermeil bead. In this case, I have added one textured vermeil coin bead, the same diameter (20mm) as the Jasper coins. The beads are spaced with vermeil spacers and the necklace fastens with a vermeil toggle clasp. All the vermeil beads were made by the Karen Hilltribe peoples in Thailand.

The necklace measures 18 1/2" long.
