Royal Street, New Orleans, print by Don Davey shows an extremely detailed view down the French Quarter. The curved balconies and ornate ironwork make one want to take a trip down to Louisiana. This print measures 8-1/2" x 11-1/2" and is matted.

Print is in original protective wrap and is signed and dated (1976) by the artist. Author biography is included on the back.

Print appears to be in nice condition as it has been preserved in the protective wrap. Black mat shows some small indentations and minor warping. If buyer plans to frame this artwork, I would recommend a fresh mat.

About the artist:

Don Davey's distinguished career started at the American Academy of art in Chicago. His illustration's have lent sparkle to such magazines as McCalls, Saturday Evening Post, and Fortune magazines. He has served on the faculty of the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and was instrumental in the formation of the Society of Illustrators which he served as president. On invitation of the United States Air Force, he toured the Orient in return for his subsequent painting. An award winning artist with both gold & silver medals to his credit, Mr. Davey's technique at once factual & impressionistic, has won him a following the world over.
