Small Framed Fiber Art, Item 939, Pattern Abstract 2d, Framed size 8 X 10 inches. Fabric is hand dyed, discharge dyed using dishwashing gel with bleach, then stamped with hand made stamp and Lumiere metallic fabric paints. Embellished with eyelash yarn, ribbon, beads. One piece is edged with couched chenille yarn, the other with a satin stitch using thread. Great grouping companion piece for items 940 or 942.

I took a class in '07 in surface design techniques: monoprinting, screen printing, discharge dyeing, stamping, batik, deconstructed screen printing... I fell in love with a whole new world of fiber arts! These pieces are made using some of the fabric I have created with several of the techniques I learned in this class, then I used several embellishing techniques I have learned over the years to complete each piece. One-of-a-kind art!
