This glittering rope necklace is made by stringing thousands of tiny seed beads by hand onto eight lengths of super-strong Fireline, then tightly braiding the strands on a handheld loom using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called kumihimo.

The stunning beaded focal is a beaded bead in which I wove seed beads in five sizes and hues of cream, gold and green to create a spiral effect.

The rope itself is about 18 inches long, topped on each end by sculptured one-inch cones of antique gold plate. Thanks to lengths of antique brass chain on each end and the lobster clasp closure, the necklace adjusts from about 25 inches to 30 inches long. The beaded focal is just over 3 inches.

The necklace comes in a daisy-adorned gift box for gift giving.
