Appliqued Sea Turtle Hauling Ass Tote with matching accessories.

Every Sunday morning I get up at the break of dawn and walk a designated zone on Casey Key. I am in search of sea turtle nests, as a volunteer for the Mote Marine Laboratory, in Sarasota Florida. My love of turtles is the driving force for this adventure. Getting up early on a Sunday would otherwise be out of the question! This Loggerhead Turtle Appliqued Hauling Ass Bag comes with matching accessories.

A one of a kind Hauling Ass Cargo tote or purse. The bag is made with reconstructed and reclaimed cotton denim cargo shorts. Pre worn condition without any stains or marks. Lots of denim color left, ready for you to fade them!


The loggerhead applique is completely hand made by me. A time consuming process: I drew him, cut him out, applied adhesive and ironed him on, Sewed him on, and finally applied the detailed stitches that bring life to him.

The straps are labor intense as well, as I hand fray the denim and then braid the strips forming the shoulder straps. They are attached securely and will not pull out of the bag. They will continue to fray some over time. Soft and comfortable on the shoulder.

All my supporting seams, as well as those straps, are reinforced for durability.

This purse or tote is completely machine wash and dry-able. Air drying will prolong the colors.

3 slight accordion cargo pockets with snap flaps on the exterior as follows:
1 on the front with Two small cargo pockets on top of the front cargo pocket. A couple of AA batteries would fit in each pocket.
and two pockets on the back of the bag.

I have added pebble leather loops and fabric covered buttons to the front slip pockets-to allow you to button them, giving some security to the items inside. please note small items would not be secure in these pockets.

an exterior key ring attached with pebble leather will allow your keys to hang into the key pocket behind the front slip pocket.

the fly zipper on the front opens to reveal a lipstick pocket. Suitable for a small flip phone or MP3 player

fully lined with indoor/outdoor fabric - 3 slip pockets (one for pens)

First quality YKK zipper top - chunky navy blue - easy glide.

32 inch double shoulder straps - hand frayed and braided. Securely attached

two matching accessory items included: both are fully lined and have quality YKK zippers.
