This original artwork is a mixed media of pyrography (woodburning), with black and transparent white acrylics on wood.



The artwork was created with different techniques of pyrography. Stippling (tiny dots to create shape & depth) was the main technique for the old crooked tree. I used black acrylic to deepen the darkest shadows and transparent white was used to increase the points of light.



Before starting this piece, the rough edges had to be sanded smooth.



This piece is protected with a strong, durable, non-yellowing, water-based finish.



It comes ready to hang.
