This lovely Diane von Furstenberg vintage blue scarf is a medium shade of blue with white flower designs and fern like leaves along with the Diane von Furstenberg signature logo. . This scarf measures 22-1/2" by 22-1/2" inches in size and is in excellent vintage condition. It has a rolled hem. I could only find one tiny pin hole, but it is not visible unless you are really searching for flaws otherwise there are no tears or any other visible flaws. It is missing its tag so I am not quite sure if it is silk but it has a silky feel. It is either silk or acetate. This lovely scarf is from the 1970's during the time when her wrap dress was the "in" thing to have and wear.

Brief History of Diane von Furstenberg:

Diane von Furstenberg is a Belgian-American fashion designer. Diane Simone Michelle Halfin was born December 31, 1946 in Brussels, Belgium to Russian born Leon Halfin and his Greek born wife Liliane Nahmias.

She was 18, and studying economics at the University of Geneva in Switzerland when she met Prince Egon von Furstenberg, the eldest son of a German prince and his first wife. However, in 1969 Egon and Diane were married and had two children even though the marriage only lasted three years.

Diane married American media mogul Barry Diller in 2001, after having an off and on relationship since the 1970's. She became a U.S citizen in 2002. Her career has spanned many years and she has received many distinguished awards. In 2005, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awarded her a lifetime achievement award. If you wish to know more about this fabulous woman she has published her memoirs, "Diane: A Signature Life" (Simon & Schuster; 1998).

Diane von Furstenberg's mission has always been to celebrate women's strength and confidence. She has been quoted as saying "I have yet to meet a woman who is not strong. They don't exist."
