Product Description
Here it is, the long awaited chicken roaster!

The chicken will fit wonderfully over the center holder. There is a spout on the front of the roaster to make pouring out the juices (or gravy if you make it) nice and simple. And the handles were designed to be easily gripped when wearing oven mitts.

What you do is decide what flavors you want in your chicken and put the marinade in the center holder. Then take a whole chicken, remove the giblets, and mount it on the center holder. Season the skin with some olive oil, salt and pepper, and pop it in the oven. Check on it every half hour to 45 minutes and baste with the juices that fill the pan. Near the end of the cooking time, put some potatoes and/or other veggies in the pan.

You're looking at a long cooking time (at least a couple of hours) but very little prep or babysitting time.

The juices will flow into the pan and you can make gravy right there. A full dinner cooked and you only end up with one dirty dish!

Personally, we found that carbonated liquids infuse the most flavor into the chicken. The flavor will be very light so don't expect to be bowled over by it, but the chicken itself will be soooooooo juicy. You know how chicken tends to get stringy? Yeah, that doesn't happen when you cook it this way. By leaving the skin on, most of the natural juices stay in the chicken rather than evaporating off. The skin gets all crispy and tasty while the chicken inside is just moist and wonderful. We've also discovered how good the skin can get if you shove little pats of butter between the skin and the chicken meat.

You can see the details of our first trial run of cooking with one of these roasters at http://ugabugabowls.blogspot.com/2009/12/chicken-roaster-trial-run.html. The first picture shown here is of the finished chicken we made with our prototype roaster. The roaster that is available for sale is in the following pictures.

We've also used ours as a fruit and veggie platter! And if you're looking for a lovely center piece on your table, fill the bowl with flowers and use the center as a small vase for more flowers.

You'll find a million and one uses for this pan and it will become a family heirloom that you can pass down for generations!
