This cauldron shaped serving bowl was made on the potters wheel with pure white clay.

The tribal inspired design was created by marbling three colors of clay (red, black, and yellow), then carving the white clay into this design and inlaying the marbled clay into the recesses. Then I carve the entire outside to ensure that the design lays flush against the rest of the pot.

The entire piece is covered in clear glaze that allows the natural colors of the clay to shine through.

This is the perfect bowl for cooking and serving your side dishes at a family dinner. It's both beautiful and functional. It was thrown thin to remain lightweight, but with enough clay to ensure that it's sturdy and will last a lifetime.

This bowl stands 4 inches tall, 6 inches in diameter, and holds approximately 4 cups.
