This planter was thrown on the pottery wheel along with a special dish designed to catch an overflow of water while lifting the pot off the table at the same time.

So many planters sit low in their dishes and half the shape is lost. The dish for this planter has a raised dish in the middle to give the planter a little extra lift so it's more visible. It also gives any extra water a little extra room to pool without soaking those bottom roots.

The inside was left unglazed to encourage roots to reach out and grab and grab a hold of the sides. This encourages root growth and plant health. The bottom also has a total of four drainage holes. The pot was also designed to make replanting easy when a plant outgrows this particular pot.

The glaze is a dark silver, almost metallic mirror like finish. This would make a wonderful accent piece in a home decorated in a slick modern style.

The planter measures 4 inches tall, 5.5 inches in diameter at the rim, and 3 inches in diameter at the base.
