This fiber wall art quilt features a three dimension red flower with a beaded center. This art quilt is made with a back ground of red felt and fabrics of red with touches of green and orange Batik fabric, painted felt and embellished with beads and fibers. It is also embellished with a wood stick that has been wrapped in gold wire and the gold fibers enhance the flower.
The background for this wall art was started by weaving Batik fabrics strips thru a painted grided material. Then fibers of yarns, thread and gold tinsel were layered across the surface and then stitched many times to attach.
The piece was then embellished with beads, the flower and the stick added to the surface and then it was mounted onto a piece of painted red felt to which the edges had been stitched and burned.
The back of the quilt is a piece of decorator fabric and it hangs from a piece of decorative wire.
There is also a dated signature label on the back.
The mini quilt size is: 6 inches by 7 inches.
