Another stunning creation by Jennifer Whitted is a blue, red and purple three dimensional abstract fiber art wall quilt.
The piece of art was started with a piece of beautifully painted cotton fabric with the reds, blues and purple colors running together to form pools of color.
It was then embellished with hand quilted stitches of coordinating cotton threads. Then three dimensional elements were added with yarn fibers, coiled copper wire and fabric beads. The fabric beads were creatd by rolling pieces of fabric and then tieing them with a piece of fiber. Each bead was stitched to the surface with a strong thread.
The fiber piece was then mounted to a piece of Batik fabric and further embellishment was added to the surface of the border.
The border was machine quilted and the edges are bound with the same Batik fabric.
There is a hanging sleeve for a dowel on the upper back of the quilt and it is ready to hang in your home or office.
The dated signature label of the artist, Jennifer Whitted, is attached to the lower back.
The size of this art quilt is: 20 inches wide by 16 inches in length.
