Do you love Indian food dishes that have those delicious soft cheese cubes soaking up curry? Thats Paneer!

Queso Blanco is another yummy firm farmers cheese often seen crumbled in Spanish and Mexican cooking.

You can easily craft your own fresh batches of these cheeses at home with your Urban Cheesecraft kit!

These cheeses are versatile and unique because they dont melt and can even be pan-grilled. Crusty, chewy, crazy good. Imagine the possibilities! Use both of them as delicious and economical meat replacements or snacks.

Your DIY Paneer and Queso Blanco Kit Includes:

Instruction Booklet
Fine Cheesecloth
Citric Acid
Cheese Salt

Just add a gallon of milk and in one hour (plus optional 1-2 hr. wait time depending on how firm you want it) you will be eating and sharing your very own fresh cheese!

Each kit makes 10 batches (almost 2 lbs!) of cheese so you have plenty of supplies to experiment with different herbs, shapes and recipes. See Fancy Equipment for cheese shaping molds or use cups, cupcake tins etc. at home :).

This kit makes a great gift by the way.

A little about milk:

You do not need raw milk to make cheese. You can use regular pasteurized milk from the grocery store as long as it is not ultra pasteurized or ultra-heat pasteurized. Even some of the large organic brands now do this to milk. Its only benefit is a long shelf life. They use high heats and kill the microbes that help cheese happen so it wont work. So, find a milk that you like and works, then stick with it. Oh and, this kit works with goats milk too. This is great because many people who are lactose intolerant can handle goat cheese without a problem. You can also use lowfat milk or nonfat milk (yield and creaminess will be noticeable with nonfat).

Have fun!
