This is a wonderfully fun rag quilt for your baby or toddler.

It is made with cotton fabrics and is very lightweight (compared to a rag quilt made with homespuns or flannel fabrics). The perfect quilt to be used year round by your little cowboy or astronaut.

The quilt was sewn, each block layered with batting, with the seams on the outside and then the seams were cut. The quilt was washed and dried to "rag" the seams.

The blocks were quilted with a wavy stitch in white thread; creating an interesting quilted pattern on the back.

The more this quilt is washed and dried, the softer it will become and the more "ragged" it will look.

Quilt measures approx. 32" x 32".

Because I used cotton fabrics, I was able to dramatically reduce the cost of this quilt (versus the costs of a flannel quilt).

A deep coordinating red plaid fabric was used for the back of the blocks.
