This great topper coat or jacket from "Lady Barrington" is done up in checked black-and-white wool, ca. late 40s, has that square shouldered Joan Crawford look with A-line swing shape. Lightweight wool shell with lightweight, silky rayon satin lining. Also velvet-trimmed collar; long, wide sleeves; and generously sized flapped pockets. Four velvet-trimmed buttons give a double-breasted look, but are for looks only; coat doesn't fasten. So versatile; wear with slacks, jeans, suits, or dresses!

Near-mint; I see no flaws. Clean, ready to wear.

Size: Approx. large; may fit a medium to XL due to lack of front closure. Much depends on what you wear under it and how you like your coats & jackets to fit. I take an extra-large and this nearly fit me wearing a mid-weight sweater--just a bit tight through my broad shoulders. BUT, go by the measurements, not my estimate. You need to leave more room in outerwear over your body measurements, about 4 to 6" depending, again, on what you typically wear underneath.

*Shoulder to Shoulder: 16"; Chest: 43" plus (armpit to armpit and doubled); Waist: 46" plus; Hips: 50" plus; Sleeve Length: 24 1/2" on outside from shoulder seam; Coat Length: 31 1/2" down center back

* All dimensions taken with coat laid flat and front overlapped naturally; there's extra room if coat worn open. I do NOT stretch garments out when measuring, unless stated, but I do flatten them as much as possible.
