Ca. 1950s' luscious strawberry brooch is by Pell, noted for figural and Christmas tree jewelry. Set in pave' ruby-red rhinestones with antiqued silvertone leaves, and accented with rich green baguette stones. The red stones are deeper and richer than shown; appear lighter due to the studio lighting. There are two versions of this brooch; what I believe to be the later one has fewer, larger stones. The pave' style is apparently the older one, and much finer in detail, with many more stones and complete coverage. The center of the brooch has open settings, so the foil-backed stones receive light--this gives beautiful sparkle to this!

Measures 1 3/4" L x 1 1/4" W. Excellent condition; one tiny area on one side of the frame that has worn--not noticeable when brooch is on.
