It is created by hand and with lots of love to be soothing, moisturizing and healing. With a base of handmade calendula-infused olive oil, it keeps your lips soft and nourished and healthy!

It is made in my herbal dispensary with the pure, simple ingredients of calendula-infused olive oil, beeswax, vitamin E, essential oil of sweet birch and lots of love.

There are no petro-based ingredients or chemical-based colors or flavors in this balm. Nor are there any preservatives added (save the natural properties of the essential oil and vitamin E), so the balm has a freshness-life of about one year. I make my balms in small batches, so you're always ensured a nice, fresh balm to enjoy over the next 12 months - if it lasts that long.

In 1994 I was showing off my bath-body-n-home botanical handcrafts at a home party. The ladies were examining my peppermint lip balm and one brilliant woman excitedly asked, "What about sweet birch? I love sweet birch and I think it would make a great lip balm!"

I discovered that the oil of sweet birch is nourishing for the skin, so I sought a source for bergapten-free essential oil of sweet birch and the rest is history. I rarely make any other lip balm anymore!

I love this warming and stimulating balm in winter, yet I use it year 'round.

I am ever grateful for that woman who conceived the idea for sweet birch lip balm because she was right - it *does* make a great lip balm!
