This is an handmade collage necklace - 1 x 2 inches or 2.5 x 5 cms. - in size. The paper elements are a combination of found images and vintage papers which are carefully applied to high quality crystal glass.

Each of my collage necklaces has a message; about love, or hope, or discovery, travel or mystery. They carry a message that allows you to make a quiet statement when you make the pendant a gift, or when you reward yourself as a special treat.

The collage elements are glued firmly to the back of the crystal clear glass with high quality glaze, and the pendant is then left to dry for 24 hours.

The necklace has a metal bail attached to the back with a strong adhesive ready for the silver plated ball chain to be threaded through. There is also an added layer of two-part resin glaze to help keep the bail secure.

The ball chain itself has a 12 ins/30cm drop (it is 2 ft/60 cm long). It can be trimmed slightly for length, although the current length slips over most heads comfortably.

Glass and paper are not natural 'bed fellows' so I recommend that you treat of the necklace as you would any other piece of handmade jewellery, by keeping it dry and wiping gently with a soft cloth.

I love creating gentle messages in my collage pendants. I carry over the figure as inspiration only this time I look for a thoughtful message that can the wearer can appreciate.
