This lesson will teach how to make consistently perfect prongs to set an 18x13mm oval faceted stone. You will then create a beaded frame around the stone that is not only beautiful but solves the problem of faceted stones rolling from side to side when worn on the neck. Once mastered, the techniques can be used to set any size stone. The bail allows this to worn with even your largest omega chains. The finished size of the pendant is approximately 1 ½ tall by 1 wide.

Materials:
o 1 18x13mm oval faceted stone
o 2- 9 pieces of 22 gauge square half hard wire OR
o 1- 9 piece of 22 gauge square half hard wire AND 1 9 piece of 22 gauge square dead soft wire
o 16 of 21 gauge half round half hard wire
o 3 1/2 of 26 gauge round dead soft wire
o 32- 2mm silver beads
o 1- 3-4mm gemstone or pearl bead
Tools:
o Ruler
o Sharpie marker
o Painters tape
o Flat nose pliers with 3mm wide jaws
o Round nose pliers
o Chain nose pliers
o Exacto blade or other straightedged tool
o Liver of sulfur (optional)
o 0000 steel wool (optional)
