The generous size of this wall art commands attention! A Medieval setting features a mounted knight, returning to his realm with sword in hand. Greeted by his Lady who waits at the shore for her beloved. Alive with energy and surrounded by an oval wreath of forest... a squirrel, rabbit, crow and even a dragon are witness.



The Anglo-Saxon style with it's gentle line shading and tiny elements, lends itself in grand fashion for woodburning. The characteristic Medieval design fills the area with interest, and the woodburning technique lends texture to the background. A rich, pecan tone wood stain and glossy finish brings the scene to life.

A talented and popular seamstress from Austraila bought several woodburnings from me, and commissioned a special piece for her collection. Shayne sent me links to some works of William Morris, and we were able to share our appreciation for a distinctive style.

Medieval Knight has many of the same qualities as those in Shayne's collection: the scorched and textured background gives it and impact factor but the star here is the composition.
