This necklace is a Y-shaped festoon sculpted by me out of sterling silver wire. The festoon is set with a 14x7mm marquis-cut iolite and a 6mm square faceted peridot. I further embellished it with 4mm round iolite beads and peridot beads. The handcrafted chain is made of sterling silver wire, and studded with iolite beads and peridot beads. The chain is joined to the center sculpture with 8x5mm iolite teardrop beads. I allowed this piece to develop some patina, then polished it to allow the sterling silver swirls to really "pop".

Iolite is a dark blue-violet gem sometimes referred to as "water sapphire".

Peridot is an apple-green gem. Peridot is the August birthstone.

The festoon sculpture measures 2 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide. Necklace adjusts from 17 inches long to 19 inches long.

Not intended for children under age 12.
