The wood used in this pen is Maple that has turned and cut to 10 levels of depth to give a true 3D effect of an under/over pattern of woven rush. This unique concept offers an elegance and detail that can be achieved in no other way. As you move your fingers over the barrel you will feel the texture of a true basket weave. Because the barrels and each done by hand, no two will be exactly alike. The pen has been sealed and finished with 12 coats of a high quality lacquer polish and wax. The finish is very durable and resistant to moisture and oils from hand writing. With proper care you should be able to enjoy your pen for many years to come.
