Product Description
This one of a kind 12 inch primitive art doll is a make do. I've named her Maid Marian and she has a coffee stained muslin face and hands. Her body is also muslin. She is mounted on a dowel that is attached to wood painted black. Her arms are wired so you can position them.

Using a vintage floral velvet material in shades of black, burgundy, burnt umber, and gray I made the dress on her by using the drape method.

Her face is hand drawn using artists pencils then sealed to protect it from sun and dust.

I love to work with fibers so I used shades of autumn colored fibers to create her hair. In the back of her head I have given her a bun style hairdo. In the front I left some of the fibers hanging down on one side as an accent.

On the front of her dress is a vintage 1 1/4th by 11/4th inch pendant that used to be part of a necklace that belonged to my mom. It has a big amethyst colored cut glass stone in the center with matching rhinestones around it. I think it tops off the dress wonderfully and gives the dress a Nottingham look to it.
