1.5 oz of beautiful alpaca top in a lovely fawn color. I have hand combed this fiber into top and this is definately my favorite preparation for alpaca. It will spin as thin as you want and will have little or no waste as you spin.

As a reference, I have photographed the top on a lace scarf, hand knit from just this type of alpaca preparation. The yarn is a single, and the scarf weighs 2.5 oz. That will give you an idea of just how much yarn you can get from this 2 oz sample. Now if you want to spin it thicker, and make a super warm scarf, I would recommend purchasing more than 2 oz.

I love to spin and will spin any kind of fiber and preparation of that fiber. But what joy it is to have a fiber that just almost spins itself into the softest and lightweight yarn imaginable. That's why I go to all the time it take to comb the alpaca fiber into top, to give other spinners that joy too.
