An Art Fire Enthusiast has purchased over $500 in value from the handmade artisans on Art Fire. These Enthusiasts love crafting and creativity and express that by supporting artisans and the handmade community with their dollars.
An Aficionado is a champion for artists and creativity. The aficionado artifact designates a buyer who has purchased more than $2000 worth of items from artfire.com. This is a special breed of art and craft lover. This person has shifted much of their spending to handmade items and believes strongly in the handmade movement. Aficionados are creativity's biggest fan and some of our favorite and most influential members. Additionally aficionados may be designated as such by Art Fire in exchange for great service to the arfire.com artisan marketplace. They may be celebrity curators, media stars or other influential individuals who are committed to buying and selling handmade items and supporting a strong artisan community.
Almost every day we get suggestions from our artfire.com member artisans on how to make Art Fire better. We listen to every idea for improving the handmade community. While we can't implement all of them right away, we do try to roll out innovations from our artisans on a regular basis. If an artisan suggests something that we use to improve the sight, they are awarded the innovator artifact. The artisans with this artifact have helped to make artfire.com a better handmade artisan community.
This artifact indicates that the artisan is a member of at least one trade guild. Guilds are a team system within the handmade community that provide for cooperative efforts to learn, teach, compete, and improve the community and the arts.
