I have been lampworking for over 10 years, and I have loved every minute of it!
Lampworking, for me, is a fascinating art form. Glass is melted at a torch, wound on a steel mandrel and shaped using tools. The resulting artifact is annealed in a kiln for strength, and when cooled, it
is cleaned thoroughly.
I enjoy the colors, the process and the immediate gratification of what I have created. I have a studio in South Central Virginia, where I create, by hand, all of my glass beads. Each bead is kiln annealed and then cleaned, before being sold as either a focal bead or incorporated into finished jewelry or gift items.
I try to take accurate pictures of my beads, and try only to crop the photos. Please keep in mind that different computer screens may show different shades of color, and remember this if you are trying to match something exactly. More »
