It's inspiring to create unique, functional pieces from otherwise discarded materials. I love to make unwanted materials, wanted. I thrive on the creativity it takes to put a new spin on recycling to make materials even better than their original purpose. When I come across my supplies they literally are "wreckage" before I turn them to conversation-starting, functional pieces. A large portion of our profits are donated to Susan G Komen to benefit breast cancer research every year in honor of my sister who died September 2010 and was a huge support in all my creative endeavors.
