I have always been interested in artistic creation--mostly pencil drawing and oil painting. I have a degree in Graphic design from BSU, but the computer is just too sterile for me. I love the messy side of things. I make jewelry, paint in acrylics and oil, draw with pencil, india ink, colored pencil. A happy Stacey is one that has a pencil (or paintbrush or dremel tool, etc--you get the idea!) in hand. I am always trying new mediums. My work has always been on the whimsical side, but there is a darker side in there that has been creeping out as of late. Figures and faces hold a particular interest for me, but I love landscapes, shrinky dinks and glass etching too. Whatever new medium comes my way is another new adventure in my messy, colorful world.
