The new ArtFire Forge is now live.  You can visit the Forge by following the link in the header of every ArtFire page or by following this link.  Along with updating the theme to match the rest of the site, we've added new features like RSS subscriptions and a messaging system for requesters and bidders to talk over the details of a request.

The Forge looks a bit empty right now because there are no requests, maybe you can change that!

What is the ArtFire Forge?

The ArtFire Forge allows a buyer to request a custom-made or designed product.  The buyer submits a request which includes their target budget, description of the requested item, materials they would like used, photos(optional),  bidding deadline, and delivery date.  Sellers who would like to make the item submit bids that include their offering price and photos of past or similar work (optional).  The buyer who made the request can then choose the winning bid and pay for the item to be made.

Who can make a request? 

Any member (Basic, Pro, or Buyer only) of ArtFire can request an item on the ArtFire Forge.  If you’d like to sign up for an account on ArtFire you can visit our sign-up page.

Who can bid on requests?

Due to the ease of creating a basic account and the concerns that go along with potential uncertainty, bidding on Forge requests will be available to Pro sellers only.  This will increase the security of the transactions and ensure that bids on Forge items are genuine. 

What is the budget?

When a request is made the buyer includes their budget or desired price of the product.  Please note that the price that is settled upon is the total price of the order and must include shipping if necessary.

Can we add a picture to the bid. Like if they want an example of what you would do for them.Thats what I dislike about Etsy is you have to do a seperate convo with the picture.

I put in a test bid. Anyone want to help me out on my test? This is not a real bid and I hope thats ok Admin but I need to see if this works for me. The old Forge was Horrid so hoping this one is awesome
