Established 5/29/2009. The focus of our guild is on the Independent Artist who crafts one-of-a-kind, original, limited edition or commissioned art. Until further notice we are not accepting applications for Jewelry Artisans due to saturation in our guild for that medium. The artist must have a desire to actively participate & learn in the area of social media marketing and other avenues of marketing. We are a group of fine artisans and craftsmen (craftspeople if you prefer) collaborating on our entrepreneurial marketing experience for the common good of the whole group. The Northeast is defined as Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A request for NNIA membership is considered an invitation to judge your history as an independent artist & artistic accomplishment by way of your ArtFire fusion studio appearance, listings & biography. The guild master recognizes that artists'' styles and media are as unique as the individual but reserves the right to restrict non family-friendly artists from the group.

The mission of the NNIA is to enable and promote one another, as independent artisans & craftsmen, within the NNIA through the collaboration of ideas, skills and entrepreneurial experience of the group for the purpose of individual artisan self-support. As our mission is to build up the independent artist, critiques will be tolerated in respectful terms only and allowed only at the invitation of another artist.
