I've been creating pet portraits in a variety of media and a range of small format sizes for many years now. I started creating ACEOs in late 2006 and quickly realized that they would be a great way to offer a custom portrait at an affordable price.

Now's your chance to have a custom mini portrait of your favorite animal friend, be it a dog, cat, horse, reptile, bird or bunny.

ACEOs are a standard size: 2.5" x 3.5" - the size of a baseball trading card. ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Originals and Editions".

I work from photos (digital preferred), but they must be clear and detailed (see sample color photo above). !!! Please contact me before purchasing this item to determine if the photo(s) you have will work!!!


I'll create your detailed portrait in graphite pencil on bristol (a card stock weight paper with a smooth surface). As you can see from the sample images I have posted, I'm likely to use an interesting crop of your reference photo. Once I've determined your photo will work, I'll size and crop it to ACEO format and then e-mail it to you for approval.

Please allow 6 weeks for your completed portrait. I'll e-mail a scan of the finished portrait for your approval prior to shipping.
