I love to create custom equine portrait sculptures to capture the likeness of a special horse friend in your life. The horses and unicorn pictured here are past work and are not for sale, but I put pictures up to give you an idea of what your custom made needlefelt wooliture wool sculpture may look like. I will include a toy or other accessory, if you would like.

I needlefelt each soft sculpture from alpaca, llama, or sheep wool rovings which are the form wool is in before it is twisted into yarn. Instead of making yarn, I create needlefelt keepsakes for you! I do not use frames or armitures inside. It's all wool densely felted. Needlefelt with a single needle that made creating sculptures possible was just invented in the 1980's, so this is a very cutting edge medium in the art world, even though it creates the world's oldest textile, felt!

I work from photos you send me or links to photo sites such as flickr or photobucket. If you don't have any pictures of your favorite horse type, I will do the research. Each one takes me from 3-6 weeks to create.

You get to pick the pose. I do not need pictures of the pose in order to needlefelt sculpt it for you.

I ship USPS Priority Mail and I pay for it! If you would like a different carrier and it costs more, the difference may be billed to you.
