This 14" knife is a one of a kind forged damascus hunter. Suitable for display or heavy use, It is outfitted with solid 3/8 copper pins, and handled with a beautiful piece of crown elk antler.

The blade is Brut de Forge finished 62 layer damascus consisting of w1 and 15n20 steels. The pattern is a modified ladder pattern visible on the ground portions of the blade. The exposed 3/4 tapered tang on the rough forge finished blade is complimented by the naturally dyed elk handle. As always industrial epoxy was used in conjunction with the oversize copper pins for a secure blade to handle bond. The finger guard is integrally forged into the blade, to further add to the final effect of a rugged beauty of a knife. The sheath is 1/4" thick leather hand riveted with solid copper pins, rustic burned hole to fit shape of stag.

Inspiration / Story behind this Product:
The blade shaped itself in the forge, as I worked I saw the handle I needed for it. I always take pleasure in forging a truly rustic knife.
Pattern welded (damascus) steel is te art of taking 2-3 contrasting cutlers steels and forge welding them together
