Don't expect this winter queen to stick to white. She loves color, especially vibrant color, and dresses accordingly. Her name is Bev Roren and she brings winter to the town of Storkop (for more info on Storkop, visit my website at www.ladyartisan.com). Bev is wearing her favorite crown, a berry wreath, and her favorite robe of deep red with glittery, silver snowflakes embroidered on it and a warm "fur" lining (white, fluffy yarn, actually). Her silvery blouse is the perfect compliment for the blue, silky skirt with bright red trim. There's even an elaborate red bustle under her robe, if you care to look. And she's presenting a snowflake she just made. Her acrylic eyes are grey, like the winter sky, and her hair is made from a white yarn, braided and then wrapped around her head and ears.
Bev stands 11 3/4" when wearing her crown and 10 1/2" without it. When her skirt is spread out around her, it reaches 13" at it's widest.
Her head, neck, arms and feet are sculpted from Darwi air-dry clay. The neck has also been strengthened with an armature of epoxy clay. She was then painted with acrylic and watercolor. Her lips are a lovely, glittery shade of blue. Her costume was made specifically for her and is not removable, although the crown is removable and will be packaged separately from the doll during shipping. I used a skirt of copper mesh under her dress to give it some fullness and added support. She does stand on her own.
