This light thin 12" knife is a unique addition to a gourmet kitchen, or a great camp knife. The blade is composed of 5 twisted bars of 48 layer hand forged damascus stacked and forge welded into a billet of beautiful turkish twist damascus. With a flat grind and razor edge, this oil hardened blade will give years of rugged service and still retain its beauty. The blade is outfitted with buffalo horn guard and a beautiful eucalyptus burl handle. The damascus is comprised of 15n20 & 1095 cutlers steels, forged at 2300degrees, and oil hardened to a rockwell hardness of 58 for strength and edge holding ability.

As with any knife with natural handle material, this is not dishwasher safe.
