This is an oval shaped one of a kind handcrafted cowhide leather & paua brooch. The New Zealand paua shell cabochon measures 40mm x 30mm & has lovely shades of yellow, brown, gold & green with exquisite lines & details. The veg-tanned cowhide leather has been hand tooled for a textured frame, stained, sealed & polished to a nice sheen. I wanted the textured markings on the leather to imitate the rippled sands of the sea. I stained this piece a medium antique brown & added a frosty gold highlight stain to the outer edge. Traditionally, paua has been used to stimulate creativity & imagination.

Perfect for coats, jackets, purses, hats & clothing to provide an extra spash of color!

This brooch has a 1.25" gold plated pinback, is versatile & can be worn at any angle. This accessory will come signed on the back.

METRIC: 6 cm wide x 4.2 cm tall x 4mm thick.
