This is an advanced lesson, but even beginner/intermediate wire workers with a solid grasp of the basics can, with ''patience'' accomplish both designs.
This step-by-step tutorial shows you how to create a solitaire style prong ring AND how to convert the style into the Atom Pendant – 2 TUTORIALS IN ONE –

Materials suggested are for the ‘Lesson In Patience” ring – material requirements for the “Atom pendant” are covered at the beginning of the pendant section.
A ring size chart is included at the end of the tutorial.

Materials suggested for a size 8 ring:
13 inches 22 gauge square wire ½ hard
20 inches 20 gauge ½ round wire ½ hard
1 8mm round faceted stone

Tools needed:
Jewelers ruler (showing millimeters)
Sharpie marker
Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Ring mandrel
Flush wire cutters
Adhesive putty or bubblegum
Diamond file or Dremel with polishing wheel
Penknife
Optional: Pin-vise
