Ceramic Pig planter
Would make a lovely sponge holder too!
Hand made Ceramic pig planter. Beautiful orange color.
With its sleek design and stylish details, pig lovers are sure to make room to show off this cute piggy. Originally designed to be a Mexican piggy bank, and as cute as it should be, the handle of my mold was broke. So, I cut out the entire top and made a cute planter instead. I have added a small hole in the bottom for drainage and the hole is small enough so he can be used as a sponge holder too.
7" long, 4" wide and a little over 4" tall. The cut out dimensions are approx. 3 1/2" long and 2.9" wide. Due to each planter being hand cut, the dimensions of the cut out may slightly differ.
I poured it using a vintage 60's mold. Then fired it in the kiln to cone 04 to turn to bisque ware and then glazed it and fired again to make the glaze turn to glass.
I have several other ceramic pieces available, some hand molded from raw clay and some poured from vintage molds.
