A lovely cane designed as a face, this is a base cane which means that you can add it into many different designs. For example: add hair to make from it a full face, use it for making a Matryoshka Doll design, use it for mask design etc..
The cane is made out of polymer clay and designed as a face of a lady with Millefiori technique.
With this cane you can decorate variety of items like: pen, cup, plate, tea pot, etc...
To use it simply slice the cane (you can take part of the cane and roll it on a table to give it a smaller diameter) into thin slices and aplly them to the surface of the item which you decorate.
This cane is - unbaked - and should be baked in temperature of 130 C (266 F) for 30 minutes.
The cane is closed inside a sealed nylon bag to keep it fresh and will be shipped inside a safe and hard box to keep it's round shape.

length - 4 cm (1.57 inch)
diameter - 3 cm (1.18 inch)

Inspiration / Story behind this Product:
Millefiori is a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glassware. The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers). A. Pellatt (in his book "Curiosities of Glass Making") was the first to use the term "millefiori", which appeared in the Oxford Dictionary in 1849. The beads were called mosaic beads before that time. While the use of this technique long precedes the term millefiori, it is now frequently associated with Venetian glassware. More recently, the millefiori technique has been applied to polymer clays and other materials. Because polymer clay is quite pliable and does not need to be heated and reheated in order to fuse it, it is much easier to produce millefiori patterns than with glass. - Wikipedia
