I normally paint encaustics on encaustic card but have used a canvas panel triple primed with gesso to create a softer look. The encaustic painting is 10" x 8"and comes ready to frame - cheaper for you! Remember though that the thickness of this painting is about 1/4 inch.

It would look great in a simple frame which would be required to protect the wax surface. This painting would be perfect in either a domestic environment, a home or an office.

Encaustic art is created using beeswax which has been melted and worked with heated tools to create individual effects. To protect the wax surface this painting has been painted with a wax sealer to stop it scratching.

I have tried to take the photographs to display the pieces as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary between monitors.
