Handmade Vessel Sinks are Wheel thrown from 25# of clay. 16 inches or so wide, and about 6 inches tall, they can be made to a lot of different specifications: sizes, shapes and colors.
The vessel is designed to be mounted on top of the counter. The drain that must be used is a special, no overflow type. The fixtures must clear the top of the vessel, so you need to choose them carefully.
Tell your plumber that it fits a standard size drain, and don't forget the plumber's putty when they come for the installation.
