I upcycled a size 12 M white ribbed Tshirt and a pair of elastic waist denim shorts. Mary Engelbreit fabric appliques are securely bonded and stitched on both. The shorts are embellished front and back.
The top has red gingham cuffs on the sleeves and blue ric rac accents around the sleeves and neckline.
The shorts have cute 1 inch ruffles around the leg openings, accented with the blue ric rac.
The appliques are all topstiched with a (machine sewn) decorative buttonhole stitch for a cute, handmade look.
I take great care with my sewing and this outfit will survive all machine washing and drying!
