This tubular bead has a so called "raku" decoration on a black core and is then encased in clear.

The colour variations are even lovelier in real life than the picture is able to show. They go from yellow, thru red to blue and purple.

The bead is 20 mm long (see picture with centimeter scale for further reference) and has a silverplated bead on each side. The knots on the 1 mm, black leather cord keeps the beads in place.

The necklace is 44 cm long, including the lobster clasp.

All my lampwork beads – handmade by me - are carefully kiln annealed for durability and they are properly cleaned.

All metal parts are nickel safe according to EU standard.

Inspiration / Story behind this Product:

Raku. I don't know how many, highly expensive, centimeters of Iris Orange (the official name of the glass from Reichenbach) I've wasted, without getting even a hint of those lovely colour shiftings out of it! It was all mud for a very long time. And then it happened. I had upgraded my torch and decided to give raku another chance. I the beginning there still was a lot of mud, but suddenly I got a bead with some nice shftings in it! So I kept on practicing. I still get mud now and then. But sometimes I get a rainbow! And then it's all worth it.
