And I mean it. The steel gear that is the central piece is hefty, although I don't think it will cause discomfort to wear. I've fastened it to a heavy chain that closes with a pewter toggle. Other aspects of this classic steampunk assemblage are a vintage French clock button, a clock gear, a watch spring, and a one of the fantastic pewter gear buttons made by Time Cast, Inc.

There's about 30 inches of chain.
