This Steampunk Oracle is a tool of divination, also known as a scrying pool, looking deep into its depths may bring you answers long sought.
The central pool of the Oracle is made from layer after layer of this clear drying acrylic stuff model makers use to create water in dioramas with interesting things added at each layer. The exposed inside edge of the well was then painted an opalescent blue.
The base contains a battery powered lighting unit that randomly changes colors. The two are connected by a metal frame (formally a votive candle holder). The whole thing was glued together then painted white and covered in cardboard. Next I covered the outside with sand and let that dry.
Then I glued on glass stones and a few bits of interesting things “out of time”, a clock part here, a screw there, and so on. A few touch ups later and a last round of additions with the inclusion of the rusted chain linking many of the bits together and the exterior was done. Stones and other bits were added all over at the end to finish off the edges.
Weight: 4.5 lbs.

Inspiration / Story behind this Product:
There are many different ways to seek answers from the other realms. Some people use tarot cards or runes, other look into the heart of a flame or the depth of a bowl of water. The Steampunk Oracle is part flame, part water. At its center there is "water" formed by the acrylic goo, and deep at its heart there is fire from the light at its base. As the light shifts and changes, the items in the well unlock mysteries and share their secrets.
