8-bit never looked so good!
I've combined my love for bead weaving with my admiration for classic video games.
Woven using size 11 Toho seed beads in an interesting color - lilac lined blue. This special finish makes for a shimmer of 2 colors, you can really see the blue if you look through the piece.
This truly was a labor of love...the entire set together took me approximately 40 hours - that's an entire "work" week! Worth the time, though. They are all structurally sound - these babies are not hollow. They are built up layer by layer - you can't really SEE the beads woven in the center, but they are there...and that is what makes the piece strong and able to hold its shape. Incredibly unique and fun!
Because I really wanted the shape to be the total eye catcher, I finished the necklace off by stringing the shape on illusion cord - so that it appears to be a pendant "floating" on your neck. Length of the necklace is 18" (45.7cm). Finally, a sterling silver swivel clasp completes the necklace. No need to worry about your necklace twisting up on you, as the swivel clasp moves with you.
A 6lb. test waterproof thread was used for the stitching/weaving - expect this piece of wearable art to outlive you!
Measures 1" (25.4mm) across by 1" (25.4mm) tall, 3/8" (9.5mm) deep.
