A fun and easy applique with the popular froggie style. You can use any shade or color of regular worsted weight yarn (such as Red Heart Super Saver). You can glue to a magnet (use E6000 or similar adhesive), as a refrigerator or file cabinet adornment. You can also attach to a pin or barrette.

He is apprx. 3” high and 3 3/4” wide. If you change the weight yarn to a sports weight, for example, that will make the froggie smaller. You can use the same instructions, just a thinner yarn.

There are 3 styles of eyes to choose from. If you do choose the ‘google’ style eyes, remember that they can not be washed. They would be great for a magnet, pin, or barrette, however.

If you are not comfortable using crochet thread, there are instructions for a worsted weight eye. Remember this will produce a thicker, bulkier eye.

Let your imagination go! These appliques can be used in scrapbooks, to adorn a bow on a gift, or smile at you from your refrigerator.

Place him on a lily pad, or even give him a top hat! If it’s a ‘she’ give her a bow on top of her head!

Supplies Needed: your choice worseted weight yarn, less than an ounce! We used green, white, and black. Use an 'E' or 'F' size hook (gage is not that important). If you wish to make the crochet thread eye, you will need black and white crochet thread and a size 7 steel crochet hook. Then, of course, a yarn sewing needle.
