These towels are the best! I can’t say enough about them. I love to make them and I love to use them. What can I say? I’m a little smitten with them.
You’ll see why. Once you use linen towels, you’ll never want to use anything else. Unsurpassed for absorption and durability, these towels not only last and last but they get softer with use.
Generously sized, they measure approx: 16” x 30” (40.6 cm x 76.2 cm) and are hemmed on all four edges. A hanging loop is sewn into the hem for convenience.
5 o’clock crows linen towels feature exclusive batik designs dyed in vibrant and saturated colors. The bubble chain pattern is painted onto the fabric using wax. A dye solution is then applied to the fabric to create the lovely mottled green-blue color. The areas that have been waxed block the dye and remain white. Once the dyeing process is complete, the fabric is boiled to remove the wax.
The mottled color combined with variations in the wax application give 5 o’clock crows fabric a depth that is not attainable with commercial dye processes.
*** CARE: These towels are machine washable and colorfast. Wash in any temperature water. Avoid bleach. Machine dry low or medium.
*** Please note that all of the nubs, imperfections and shadings are characteristic of the linen fabric and the hand-dyeing process. Because these items are handmade, there may be slight variations in color and pattern placement. This is not a detriment, but instead makes each piece unique!
