This LARGE round moss green handcrafted leather button is made of genuine cowhide leather that’s been hand tooled, hammered, stained, sealed & buffed to a beautiful sheen. The front has a stony like texture & the reverse side has been smoothed, stained & sealed (photo is provided of the backside). Some of the natural brown leather tones have been allowed to peek through during the staining process for added visual interest. I took some photos in natural sunlight & some under camera lighting to show the beautiful variation in color & texture. No two buttons that I create are identical so each one purchased is one of a kind. The grain of the leather, tooling & coloring process varies slightly each time making every specialty button unique.

Due to the thickness & consistency of veg-tanned tooling leather, my leather buttons are firm & sturdy as opposed to soft & floppy like thin leathers or suede that drape over when held.

This handcrafted accessory can be used for sewing, knitting, felting (ie, felted bags, purses), scrapbooking, journal making, crafting, quilting, crocheting, card making, mixed media art, collage, jewelry making, special projects & other needs.

JEWELRY MAKERS: This piece can be used as a stand alone wearable art pendant by just adding a chain or necklace cord through the ready made holes, use as a focal piece for a bracelet cuff & / or carefully wire wrap with or without additional beads. Let your imagination run wild & embellish.

This specialty button is GENUINE veg-tanned cowhide leather & SHOULD NOT be put in a washing machine or submerged in water.
